Tough minded political awareness and independence the French are known for, besides their lust. However, one must always be wary of portrayals of one social class by another or one class by another, as in Porgy & Bess. why do the well off just revel in stories about the oppressed? Or in salacious portrayals of them, wishful thinking or fantasies?<br /><br />This is why I liked living in New Orleans, a river side murder capital.
