Apparently, United States President Donald Trump thinks that it is not safe to live in Washington, DC. This morning the Al Jazeera Web site included an article by Holden Lombardo, stating that Trump had deployed the National Guard “to address crime concerns.” Now, to be fair, I am not entirely familiar with governance within the District of Columbia, but I would have thought that there was a police department that would take care of “crime concerns.” If Trump is so worried about crime, perhaps he would feel safer if he resigned from his position and moved somewhere he felt more secure!
